The Infrared Obstacle Avoidance IR Sensor Module (Active Low) has two infrared tubes: one for sending and one for receiving. When the sent light waves hit an object and reflect back, the receiver tube picks up the reflected IR waves. The onboard comparator processes the signal, and the green LED indicator lights up.
